got some PC sounds off the internet, such as "star trek" sounds, to add to the computer. but everything is downloaded as mp3 , but it must be converted to wave files before I can move the sounds to where I want them. is it possible to chang this? and if so, would someone be so kind and tell me how to do it.

and every time I bring something down from the control panes, it will stay down. I am constantly having to chase that thing
around to the top to bring it back only to have it disappear again several seconds later.

I use dbPowerAmp as my audio format converter. From MP3 to WAV you will lose some fidelity because you are trying to up-rez a lossey audio file to a lossless audio file, but it can easily be done. There are probably some free software alternatives out there, but I use dbPowerAmp for a lot of things. Try Audacity, that might do the trick.

this audacity portable works best with the PortableApps.com Platform. so which one do I down load first? will this all fit on a 2 GB
usb memory thing? dos this come with "extra" that needs to be removed from the hard drive?

The only issue I ran into with Audacity is it won't play .wma files due to legal issues so it'd be best to either Rip as .mp3 or convert. It will play .wav.

The whole folder is only 27MB so you can put where ever you want. Since it is portable, no installation needed. The paf file when double click will ask you where you want to extract to.

Not sure about the link you post. Just click on the link I posted above then download. double click on the .paf file will extract and no extra, just the program.
