What cause damage to MOV file and how to repair it

My MOV files taken by DSLR(Nikon D810) could originally be played by Windows Mediea Player or QuickTime but now many of them can no longer.

The files were copied from the SD card to a data partition on 1TB SSD(Samsung 850 Pro). They were working right after they were copied to the SSD drive but I do not know in what moment they quit working. JPG files taken by the same DSLR camera are no problem.

I wonder what could cause the video file problem as above.

Here is the SMART status. I am suspecting the SSD because I do not recall such problem when I was using conventional hard drives before. As shown below there is one warning. Is this it?

Well, that is not good, it could scramble/corrupt data. How are you connected to the SSD? Are you using IDE or AHCI interface for your drives in BIOS? Really should be using AHCI and that error says to check your cable.

The interface is set for AHCI. The warning seems to be a record happened in the past. To determine if the SATA cable is the culprit do I have to wait and see if the problem recurs after replacing the cable? It appears awfully time consuming process.
