Do I need a splitter?

Hello,

I'm thinking of buying an in-ear earphones, Roccat Syva, it has a built-in microphone but the cable is in on one combined jack, not separated for audio and mic.

My laptop has only one jack, audio and mic combined, so will the microphone works? Or do I need a splitter cable for the microphone to work? Please help, thank you!

It should work, providing those earphones have 4 contact jack.
