So i have recently notice that my sound changes automatically randomly while watching netflix or a youtube video. Below is what my audio settings are and everything.

I have no idea what else to change to fix this.

I can't read those screen shots. Too small. Even if I zoom in to 150%.

Here is how to post screenshots on this forum:

Youtube uses Adobe Flash (and that has had problems). I've never used Netflix and don't know what media player it uses.
Does the sound change on regular audio/music files?

Here is one of my screenshots, for example.

I don't see anything wrong in those screenshots, except you should set the audio quality for 16 bit/44.1Khz (CD Quality). That is what wav (audio) files are and what commercial audio and Video CD's use.

But that will not (or should not) cause the volume change.

I would look at what else you have open (running) such as Skype or other programs that use audio, as one of those may be causing the audio volume level to drop.

Temporarily disable (stop) Skype just to see if make any difference. Have to take it one thing at a time.

Is Chrome the only program that causes the volume to lower?

Try youtube, Netflix with a different browser and see if you have the same problem.

Hi, I actually had the same problem until I saw your post. I turned on the "do nothing" and unchecked the "exclusive mode" but none of that worked. It bothered me so much since I skype a lot and play music at the same time, but the sound from the music would be heavily muffled.
What I noticed when I saw your post was that we both have Conexant Smartaudio HD. I tried uninstalling that from the uninstall menu, and windows restarted my computer, making my audio driver the default "High Definition Audio Device." It worked for me. Music is no longer muffled on skype. Not sure if this will fix the problem for you, but hopefully this works for you too.
