Sound enhancers, where are you on those?

I for one use DFX Audio Enhancer which is very good and works well with Windows 8. It really improves the sound (increases the max volume and enhances the audio). I find that after Windows XP the sound volume became a bit low.
That's why I'm using DFX.

Does any of you use one of those? Which one?

My process is a little different. I use a music creator software and record my own vocals, enhance it there and then construct a song around it. Plus, after I enhance my audio recording I know exactly where to keep the levels for the music. Thanks for the recommendation (DFX Audio Enhancer. It's so hard to find good audio programs sometimes... I'll definitely have to check it out :) I like that it offers high fidelity restoration too, that's always a big issue for me!
