Hello,

I'm new to this forum.
My problem is that I can't get any sound out of my pc anymore.

Things I have checked so far:
  • I got all cables plugged in.
  • Runned sfc /scannow.
  • Set my speakers to default output.
  • Reset the settings to default of my speakers.
  • Uninstalled the drivers of my audio ouput (through device manager) and reïnstalled realtek (newest version).
  • Checked device manager but no yellow or red signs are displayed there.
  • Of course rebooted my PC couple of times.

The odd thing is when I configure my speakers and quadraphonic my L and R speakers doesn't get any sounds but LA and RA does give sound out of the speakers and headset.
Screenshow below shows the ones that giving sound in the red box.

Anybody has any idea?
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

Thanks for your reponse.

Well I do get sound at the 2 speakers in the red box on the picture above.
Yes, I did try various programs like: Windows Media Player, YouTube and VLC.
Yes, I did check the device manager and no yellow alerts appear.
On my laptop the speakers / headphone working fine like they should.

What should I check into my Bios?

I've got the same speaker's on my pc. This will sound weird as they're 5.1 speaker's. With the last few driver updates from Realtek for Windows 8.1, you need to set them as 7.1 speaker's, then go into the Realtek HD Audio Manager program and configure the Speaker Configuration & Room Correction setting's to yur liking.

So.. I have tried to totally reïnstall my PC to Windows 7.
But still no luck with the sound, still the exact same problem.

It ***** I had to reïnstall my PC for this and didn't come to a solution.
Atlhough this tells us where not to look atleast.

I'm scared it's a hardware problem and so I already took contact with Asus and now waiting for response.
