Solved Sound Card Issues

Every 5 days or so, my sound card will have a bad day, and all noise coming through my headset will be distorted and static-like. Usually restarting my computer will fix it, but today it stopped working altogether. I check the computer, and it says that no headphones or audio are plugged in. I tried plugging in my speakers, and they don't work either. I have all the latest drivers installed. Suggestions?

Which sound drivers do you have? Do you have drivers supplied by iBuyPower? If not get them and then see what happens. Generally the sound drivers from the vendor are the preferred drivers. If iBuyPower does not have drivers, check ASUS for drivers for that specific motherboard.

Drivers are up to date for both motherboard and sound card. Going to try rolling back the sound driver. I'll post here if I have the problem again.

Haven't had the problem again, going to go ahead and mark this as solved
