Mine does this here and there. I have noticed the cold air causes the metal in my usb ends to shrink. It is the weirdest thing. So they don't fit tight like usual.

This just made me realize that my new harddrive was better then my gamedrive :/
I had the same problem. Whenever Windows told the monitor to shut off, it would make the device disconnect-reconnect chimes every few seconds and drove me nuts. Looking into the matter further, my monitor is connected via HDMI and it was an issue of the monitor's speakers disconnecting and reconnecting. To fix it, I went in to Devices and Printers and removed the HDMI Monitor Speaker device. Problem solved, since I don't use the monitor's speakers anyhow.

I have the exact same issue, but in win 7. It started a few weeks ago right after i upgraded to 2x 120GB ssd's in raid 0, the sounds would come randomly, and after a while, it stopped. But yesterday when i deactivated sli, i got a bluescreen of unknown reason, and after that i now get those sounds continuously when the screens go dark (got 4 screens connected, 3x dvi-d and DP-HDMI adapter)
