Hello,

When I watch youtube videos, or videos in Windows Media Player Classic my audio randomly stutters. This also causes my mouse to stutter and skip and move slowly.

I have tried to fix this issue for awhile. However still no solution.

Any ideas or tips would be great, Thanks

Thanks, Just filled it in. It is just a pain in my arse. Its not unusable but randomly stutters and lags.

Well, with the system you have that should not be happening. I just built a second system using an ASUS P8 Z77-V LE Plus motherboard, an i5 3550 and 8 GB of GSkill Ripsaw memory (and . I'm, initially, using the built in Intel HD Video not a separate video card.

The first thing, do you have the correct sound driver installed? The driver from ASUS is the preferred. Second is the Intel motherboard chipset drivers. They can be downloaded from ASUS or Intel.

Other than those two drivers, there shouldn't be any IRQ interrupt problems. Does this happen with on-line video/audio only? or does it also happen with video or audio that you already have on the PC hard drive or if you play a commercial audio CD? Just trying to isolate it to where/what.

Also make sure all your flash players are up to date. What type of mouse do you have and does it require a separate driver/firmware/software install?

I have the updated Sound drivers and chipset drivers from ASUS. I have the installed drivers for my mouse. The flash player I have installed is current.

The videos that cause the stutter are online as well as with windows media player classic.

Hope this helps you help me :)

Thanks

Is it ONLY videos that cause this? I'm still a bit confused, I see you mention on-line videos. Does this also mean videos that you have on the PC's hard drive (where did they come from?) also do this. Does a commercial Video DVD also cause this? Does just playing audio cause this?

If its ONLY videos that cause this, for testing, remove the GTX670 video card and use the built in CPU video and see if that also causes the problem.

I have videos downloaded on hdd and they stutter when played. Then youtube videos and other streams cause the lag as well. I had the issue with a commercial dvd in the drive. But the issue was much less with he dvd. Only happened twice in a few tv episodes.

For uninstalling and trying withouht graphics card... Can I just unplug the power? Or do I physically need to remove the card?

I had my task manager open and when the stuter happens the CPU load from System goes up much higher. Generally it is at less than .5%. But with the stutter it goes up to just below 10%. No idea what this means or how to fix this but you might know.

When I am installing the chipset drivers. It does it nearly instantly... However the driver is 247mb when ziped. Is this an error? I checked with my device manager and states the driver is only at 6.2.9200.16451, which is from 2009. However I cannot install the new one now mater what I try. But then when I go to the intel driver scanner tool it says that it is updated and correct.

I don't think just unplugging the PCIe power plug will work, but you can try that. If not, then you will have to physcially remove the video card, to test the CPU video.
