Ripping CD's into windows 8

Upgraded from Vista and saved all my music and then copied them to music file in Windows 8. It tells me that it can't play because the item's usage rights are corrupt or no longer valid. So this means that I will have to rip my entire music on CD's onto Windows 8. However in Vista I could put my CD in and it would automatically rip but in Windows 8 it does nothing. Please can someone advise me on how I can get my collection of songs onto my pc using Windows 8. I also tried using Windows Media Centre but that did not work.

I use (spesoftfreecdripper) to rip music in to windows, andi use VLC media Player to play my music
As in the past with xp & win7 I have been locked out of playing music and could not burn my music.
I have had a bad run with windows media player and DRM…
