Audio Advantage Micro USB Sound Card - Driver Not Compatible?

I have a Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro USB Sound Card. It has S/PDIF Optical Out which works great with my surround sound system. I tried installing the drivers on Windows 8 Pro x64 but it keeps saying "Please plug-in USB Audio Device device!". When I go to Device Manager and manually try to browse to the driver to update it I get the following message:

Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
Audio Advantage Micro Device

The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.

If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software.

Does anyone know of a way to get the driver to install or know of a small USB sound card with S/PDIF Optical Out that is Windows 8 compatible?

I figured it out. I needed to do an advanced reboot and select disable signed driver verification.

Hi,

i have the same problem, but even after disabling driver signatures, when running the exe, the driver still doesn't recognize the usb sound card. It appears under my audio devices and i can use it with my headphones but i need it for surround sound.
How did you get to manually select drivers, i only got an exe.

Any help is much appreciated!

Cheers,
Lansen
