Running W8 Pro x64 RTM (from Technet)

I'm having a weird problem that I can't seem to pin down the cause.

Whenever I run Task Scheduler, Print Management, or Event viewer and then exit them, a folder is created on my desktop called 'Administrative Tools' Clicking on this folder opens up empty in Explorer unlike the 'real' AT folder which of course has lots of programs inside it.

My question to all you gurus out there is why are these three tasks creating an empty AT folder on my Desktop and more importantly how can I stop this?

It doesn't make a difference where I run these tasks from I still get an empty AT folder on my Desktop. Even running the actual executable produces the AT folder.

Ideas? Solution?

tia

I solved my problem. I did a search of my Registry for Desktop/Administrative Tools and found it in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders.

I deleted it and no more AT folder on my desktop. Perhaps this info can help others with the same or similar problem.
