But I shouldn't need to do that. I just installed it last night and just started using it today.

I know. I'm just thinking something didn't load correctly. I suggest to try. What have you got to lose? You're dual booting, correct?

That has happened to me several times, one or two will do it. I launch the App, it goes full screen for a second or two and then disappears without starting and throws me back to the metro Start screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps. Did the refresh once, didn't help. The only way I could fix them was to reinstall Windows 8. I didn't reinstall just to fix them, but the end result was they worked again. I don't think I've had that problem since I installed the RP, knock on wood. :)

I don't know what to tell you. I was already contemplating doing a reinstall so I only tried the obvious things. I have the same apps installed now and they work fine. I switched from the Consumer Preview to the Release Preview and it hasn't happened again since. I can reinstall from a USB thumb drive in less than an hour so that's what I did. Another hour or so and I have my main programs installed and I'm back in business. I'm dual booting with Windows 7 anyway so I have a backup OS to fall back on. If it ends up being a recurring problem my game plan will change and I won't be in a big hurry to reinstall as a fix.
