I'm on Win-8 and I would like to upgrade my music player from (winamp pro ).

A good suggestion would be appreciate. :cool:

VLC Media player is a great one for playing EVERY media file out there.

Then there's the Zune Software, pretty basic media file player, but an AWESOME metro styled UI with an AWESOME Now Playing visualizer for music.

And there is of course the future replacement for Zune for Windows 8, Xbox Music. But that's not done yet.

Hi there
what do you find wrong with Winamp Pro -- works beautifully.

There are others but would be interested why you don't like winamp. -- I even have it installed on an Android phone.

Hi Jimbo,

I also love Winamp pro and I wanted to know if now that Win8 is around the corner, if there is a better player out there.
Winamp continues to be a kick ass player.

AIMP3 is great, you should try it.

That's a valid concern, but I don't know of many people with a Zune Pass..so I don't think it will be that much of an issue in these parts.

I use it for free music. I rarely listen to a album month than a month or so. Zune Pass works great for me.

I'm an ex-Zune pass holder and will be renewing in the future. I loved the Zune player in Windows 7 and its integration with xbox live's friend list. It's a great way to find out about other playlists.
