Hello.

I upgraded my windows 7 ultimate installation to win 8 pro, everything is working fine except that music app won't display music covers (it worked fine while testing on vmware). What can I do to fix this? BTW Windows media displays covers correctly.

Also for some reason there is no Metro IE, only desktop one, how can I install it?

Metro IE is only available when IE is the default browser. If you have FF or chrome installed, it might not work right.

As some of the apps, like Music, aren't finished yet, there will be issues. Even in the leaked RTM build, the Xbox music app doesn't manage media correctly and doesn't even play music!

Also, yeah, if you have changed settings in Internet Options to have internet links open in the Desktop, the metro one won't run.

Thank you for replies. Yeah, I have FF installed, didn't know this causes Metro IE to disappear. And I hope the'll fix the music app soon ^_^

You and me both. The Xbox Music app has promise to it, but it seems like it's just incomplete. The live tile for it seems pretty neat, but the Now Playing visualizer needs A LOT of work. Microsoft showed it off at E3 this year and it looks like a cleaner Zune player.

Nothing like being on the verge of releasing a new OS full of things that are simply not ready. Should be a great launch.
