postgres user suddenly appeared as new user

Started up my computer with windows 8.1 and a new user named postgres was there. PostgresSQL is on my computer as well and I don't remember installing it. Why did it suddenly appear? Is this something I should remove? How would I do that? It's a relatively new Dell computer.
