Each time I try to download MPC-HC it either fails or my laptop blocks it. I've installed it on my laptop once before and I forgot what I had to do to make it install can someone help me please?

Do you mean it fails to download or fails to install? Two different things. Where are you downloading from? Should be here: https://mpc-hc.org/

Maybe your security software blocks it, try to temporarily disable it.

Why would you use this over VideoLan?
I myself use it, because it is less demanding then VLC, I have had problems with VLC and lagging playback. Not to mention, that I like a customizable interface, I have removed all but a playback slider.

Don't have a solution, but do have a question.

Why would you use this over VideoLan?

Just curious

chris

Because it is clunky maybe?
