Specific app/software not working windows 8.1

hey all,

i have a new lenovo y-50 touch laptop with windows 8.1 64 bit installed. things seem to be working fine other than one software that i need for work - this is B&R's Automation Studio 4.1 . it was working at some point after a windows refresh but stopped for reasons i can't understand.
As you can see here - https://www.screenr.com/hWQN , the response is not consistent, sometimes it gets stuck and sometimes it just closes/crashes.

Any advice for something i should look for/check?

any lead would be appreciated,

I opened the link you provided to get an idea of the problem and clicked on play, first time since I built this computer when Win7 first came out that I've gotten a BSOD from the Graphics card [Add-in PCE-e X16]. Guess I won't try that again.

Sorry for the BSOD Berton. I had to record my desktop since B&R (developers of the crashing software) asked me to so i used an online recorder called screenr, had no idea it would cause problems.
anyway, took a video with my cellphone and uploaded to youtube:
