Windows 8 default camera app not detecting headphones

So I have a wireless logitech headphone set, plugged in via usb. When I installed it first it worked, but then I had to reinstall Windows 8 and reset my computer. My speakers work fine, my mic works fine in everything but the camera app. I am trying to record video and the audio quality is awful, there's a fuzzy sound in the background. It did not used to be like this. I tested it on Skype, on vocaroo.com, and they both sound like my normal mic - crisp, clear quality. But the camera app is not detecting my microphone. Please help.
