What is Umonitor Task and is it necessary to keep enabled?

There's a item in my Task Scheduler known as "Umonitor Task" that I have kept disabled for a while now, but I have little in the way of knowledge in-regards to its significance in affecting my machines stability and performance in it being enabled, or disabled.

If anyone can tell me what this "Umonitor Task" is and whether or not it should kept disabled, or re-enabled. Then please, share your answers.

Read that already. I need something with a little more substance than this as I've found no other link to back up the claims made on that one.

I also neglected to mention this, but I've never used a "card reader" on my machine ever. So the "Umonitor Task" service being on my Task Scheduler list can't be because of that.
