Unable to uninstall MyPC Backup

Hi everyone

For the last two or three months I have periodically had screen popups and emails from MyPC Backup asking me to upgrade. In the latest email it says this: My records show your files are NOT being backed up as your MyPC Backup license has now expired. Soon we will contact you about the deletion of your files, unless you upgrade. (Subject title of email: Your files are being deleted...) Is this threat worth worrying about? I have unsubscribed to their emails twice but they keep coming.

I
originally discovered MyPC Backup when researching online storage services. I eventually settled on another one and I never actually signed up with MyPC Backup or gave them any money. I don't recall the circumstances in which I gave them my email address. Having researched what to do about this I am still at a loss because the program doesn't actually appear in my Programs list so I don't have the option to uninstall. I cannot locate any files related to MyPC Backup anywhere on my computer, even after showing hidden files and programs. I have Windows 8.1. Thanks for your time.

To find MyPC download Process Explorer from Microsoft TechNet and drag&drop the target icon on the pop-up box the next time it shows up, and where the blue band shows up right click > choose properties > look for "Path" and click explore, it'll bring you to the correct folder.

Thanks Cliff. My computer is trying to open the Process Explorer installation file with Photo Gallery, which doesn't work. I don't know which program to open it with, any ideas?

The file you downloaded is a .zip file.

Navigate to the directory you saved the file in, Right-Click the ProcessExplorer.zip folder > Go to "Open With" > Select Windows File Explorer (Or whatever .zip program you have 7zip, winzip etc)
