Cant termine aplications via task manager

When some aplications hang i try to terminate them via task manager but that doesnt work, when trying to terminate process of that app, the result is same: the process could not be terminated Reason: Access is denied.

I m logged in as administrator, using just windows defender as protection. I also tried taskkill (admin) but result is the same.

Help anyone??

Hi,

If a specific application keeps on hanging to where you'd need to do this in the first place, it's probably a good sign that you should uninstall that application and forget about it.

In my case; it s opera and soulseek. Process termination works well on windows 7..

Yes, I like Opera too but it hangs here as well. I sometimes use it for a specific thing or two, but because of the hanging, my usage is at a bare minimum.

I still advise to uninstall it and/or Soulseek.

Or try Brink's alternative from the Vista forums. I've never tried it myself, but you can never go wrong with his advice.
