OneNote-OneDrive, duplicating files

I'm having a fit with one of my computers causing OneNote links on OneDrive to duplicate themselves.

I kept noticing these duplicate links on my OneDrive and fiddled around this morning deleting all of them using my HP desktop. Stopped syncing long enough to delete them both in the local and OneDrive locations and then started the sync back up. All was good.

Then I kicked on the Yoga 2, opened OneNote and there was all the duplicates again. I should note that on this same machine, it would duplicate the link for DropBox on the desktop too. Dug around the system a bit and couldn't find anything that could cause this.

So I've said to hell with it, and am in the process of setting up the Yoga 2 as a virgin install on the chance that whatever is in there, is in the backup that is on OneDrive's synced area. Even went so far as to delete the Yoga 2 computer name there.

I don't know yet whether it is fixed as reloading and getting the butt-load of updates takes awhile.

Has anyone seen this issue before? If so, what was your cure??

A followup.

Whatever was embedded in the previous install that caused the incessant duplication is gone now. Fresh, 'virginal' install fixed whatever was broken.
