I had originally installed Win8 32-bit from a DVD, and then added WMC later. Then even later, I upgraded to Win8.1. Don't remember whether or not I then added WMC again -- it's been so long ago.
But recently, I decided to start over (due to daily problems with Win8.1 32-bit), and did a clean install of Win8.1 Pro 64bit from an ISO that I downloaded from MS.
Then recently, I remembered that I did not to anything this time to add WMC, and when I go into adding Windows features, WMP is listed (as already installed) but there is no entry for WMC.
I nearly always use VLC to play media files anyway ... so I was wondering, am I missing anything useful by NOT having WMC? And if so, how do I go about reinstalling WMC -- is this an "upgrade" again?
