Hi,
I am using Win 8.1 Pro.
I have 500GB Hdd and below is my Partition table.
System Reserved : 350 MB
C: 200 GB
Unallocated Space : 50 GB
D: 200 GB
Unallocated Space : 15 GB

I would like to shrink C: drive to 100 GB and combine all Unallocated Space in 1 Drive.

When I Shrink C: I got Unallocated Space of approx 100 GB.

However it's not getting combined with the other Unallocated Space.

I do not wish to use 3rd party software, please help me in Combining the Unallocated Space

System One

  • OS
    Windows 7
shrink drive c, remove (delete) drive d - then create one large drive--

    System Manufacturer/Model
    Dell XPS 8700
    CPU
    I7
    Memory
    24 GB
Then try to expand the C and D drive to use the unallocated space

In addition to the above. I suggest:
Download: Bootable Partition Manger | MiniTool Partition Wizard Bootable Edition and use: Rufus - Create bootable USB to create a bootable USB stick. Boot up the PC then follow the steps below:
  1. Right click on C drive->Resize/Move Partition and shrink it to say, 100GB then click Apply on the top left corner.
This Will give you 150GB unalocated free space after drive C:
  2. Right click on D: drive->Resize/Move Partition and click/drag D drive to the left next to C: Drive. Click Apply
  3. After step 2, you'll have a 150GB + 15GB unallocated partition after D drive.
  4. Reboot your PC then Open Disk Management. Right click on D drive->Extend Volume. D drive should be: 200GB + 150GB + 15GB = 365GB total.

Note: You will not lose any data on D Drive by doing the above steps. The final result will give:
System Reserved = 350MB
C Drive = 100GB
D Drive = 365GB

The current Partition table:
System Reserved : 350 MB
C: 100 GB
Unallocated Space : 150 GB ?
D: 200 GB
Unallocated Space : 15 GB

If you don't like 3-party software, you can create the new partition with 150 GB. About the 15GB, just keep it. Or merge the unallocated space with Partition Master, just drag and move partitions, making unallocated space get together, then create the new partition.
