Windows 8.1 Tweaker

I obtained a freebie from website 'The Windows Club' called Ultimate Windows Tweaker 3.1. One of the functions is to force IE to open in full screen every time. This used to be a problem for many of us. There are many screens and tweak functions. Obviously, if you dont know what it does, dont tweak it. But there is also a restore default switch. Fun side, you can even put an anti brother/sister message on the opening screen!!!

It also includes the sfc /scannow file repairer at the flick of a switch!! Fixes corrupt or modified system files

and advanced repair options

For those who have visual impairments or better than average vison, you can tweak the size of icons or thumbnails with a slider

system Info - Customisation (6 tabs) - User Accounts - Performance - Security - IE - Context Menu (3 tabs) - Additional (Network Tweaks)

Sys Restore and reset options on most pages - just in case

Most of their tools are pretty good I have to say.

If that is same (but different version) as the one for Win7, than extreme care should be used, it made ma a mess of it. had to reinstall windows. It stopped working at one point, had to reinstall it and than it couldn't reverse settings.

I have no idea CM, I did have one for Win 7 but it was not the same name etc; there are visual comparisons I suppose. There are some aspects of this that I have not, and proably will not, try as I dont know what it would do.

I downloaded it but too busy now to try.
