Getting rid of OneDrive

I am running 8.1 in 7 style and most of my documents some of which are personal are being saved automatically to OneDrive.
I would rather save them to an ordinary Documents library because accessing them is now so convoluted and as I said previously I really cannot relate to this OneDrive system.

So my query is how do I retrieve the documents put them in the ordinary Documents library and delete them from OneDrive. I have tried opening them but it is telling me my admin (me) has blocked OneDrive??

First, go to Charms bar, PC Settings, then One Drive. Un-flick the switch that says Save Documents to One Drive by Default.

As far as admin, are you logged into your PC with the same account you are with OneDrive? Just go to the web version of OneDrive and make sure you are logged in as you. You should see the same pictures and have full control.

It may be a little convoluted and a pain, but you can always download them from the browser. Just click on the top right corner of all the ones you want. You can then right-click on any one of them and choose download. Then save them to wherever you want on your system.

By the way, you can also get to your local copy of OneDrive through the file browser. It's under your Users/yourname directory on the C drive. If you can access them there, no need to download them. Just move them.

Thanks OGG from one OGG to another :) I shall have to have a hunt around as I am running in 7 style I don't like the original 8 Metro set up :zip:

So I shall dip back to that and see if I can find the charms bar and once I find that I should be ok. Oh and yes I am the only one who uses this machine and I always leave it as a login on the admin account.

Thanks again mate but I click on settings and there is nothing re OneDrive  see my pic for comes up correction I cannot add pic from Pictures library it is defaulting to some One Drive rubbish attachment seems like I cannot take a trick with this OS:(

I have deleted a the lot from One Drive and even moved to a new folder (which is still in One Drive) and disabled One Drive as per Brinks tutorial but I stall find saving my CCleaner registry results defaults to One Drive the ones I thought I had deleted still there. Seriously thinking of going back to 7 albeit a bit slower on this machine.
