    Alternative Windows software to iOS apps?

    I have bought a hybrid tablet-laptop to replace my iPad 1, so I'm exploring alternative software/apps to iOS apps.
    At this moment, I'm looking for a video player that works similar to ReplayerHD. What I would like to see in a video player is:
    * Remembering playback position from a video
    * The possibility to shift subtitles in miliseconds/seconds to make it sync with video files
    * Maybe an option to mark videos as seen.
    * Supports i.e. avi, mp4 and mkv.

    Does anybody know a free video player that has these functions? Because I don't think VLC can do this.

    Media Player Classic may be what you want. Here's a post how to adjust the subtitle delay:
    Media Player Classic, make subtitles appear sooner (out of sync)?

    Edit: I don't know about subtitle syncing but SPlayer Portable supports HD formats. Also it seems to have the ability to use hw acceleration on some low end video cards that other players won't activate. It has built in or automatic .srt subtitle search. A nice player(but be sure to use the portable, not the installer. The installer version had an issue. I don't recall what it was now. But the portable didn;t have the bug.)

    Thanx for your suggestion!
    MPC-home cinema works for me when it is about sub syncing. Also nice that you can adjust the delay interval.

    But I've chosen SMplayer because it also supports remembering playback position.
