Solved Microsoft .NET Issue with Windows 8 CP

Guys I am using Windows 8 CP without any issues. I tried to install the EasyBCD software but got error that .NET is very outdated on my system.

So when I tried to install the Microsoft .NET 4.0 (standalone setup), I got the error :

Now i want to know how can I uninstall the default installed .NET (also tell me its location) or can i upgrade it?? Responses are most welcome ;)

Appologies if same thread exists b'coz i'm new here :D

Hi.

Try running a Windows Update.

It needs 2.0 - if Windows Update does not install it, then look for it on Microsoft's site with Google.

Win8 claims to include net 2 when you install 3.5 - deosn't work for all net 2 apps. tho.

Bit of a pain this net bloatwork.

I have latest Windows Updates installed already on my laptop. :rolleyes:

I have the similar issue. Some of my laptop utility program from Asus nagging for net 3.5 installation. Once I gave it approval then some of metro tiles stop running, firefox 11 keep shutting down. :cry:

But it works fine with my desktop PC. :rolleyes:

Guys! I got the solution but now have new questions!!

Run the following command (I got it from technet guys) :

dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /Source:d:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess

But after sometime I got this :

So tried second option got from technet as well...

Search for Windows Feature (using Win + Q). Under setting you'll got it.

Now I checked for net 2, 3 ..... (first option)

this requires internet but gives me error 0x800f0906? !

:huh:

So both options discarded for now! Need the help from you guys......
