Hi there,

I have recently installed the Windows 8 and been loving it until yesterday when I went to burn a music CD through ITunes and was told that "Disk Burner or Software was not found"

I then tried Windows media player as well and found the same problem. I have tried to search and follow what people are saying but I am not having much luck

When I have gone into the device manager the DVD/CD ROM is there and say that all drivers are up to date.....

Can you please shed some light on this problem for me and please remember in stupid people terms not a IT guru

Hey there.

It's probably happening because, as you've said - "DVD/CD ROM" - if that is exactly what is showing in the device manager for the drive itself, then the drive is not a burning type of drive.

Can you type out the exact name of the drive in full, or even make a screenshot of what it shows?
