Solved What is "setup.exe?"

The system keeps asking if I want to install "Setup.exe?" It shows the publisher as "unknown." Up to now I have not installed "setup.exe." What is this and do I want to install this exe?

It is a common name used by many software vendors for installing new software or updates. However it could also be a virus. Suggest you run a full virus scan to be sure.

Setup.exe is commonly used by unfamiliar vendors. But only run it if you know that the file is secure. Go with Nuccii's recommendation. Run a virus scan first. But still, if there are no errors found try to check its digital signatures in 'properties'. Also, check its details. If there is no copyright, more probably its a virus.
