I haven't found an App that seems useful on my 24" monitor. As an example consider Kindle. Imagine reading sentences that are 15 inches long. No thank you. Of course the reader has the same problem. Finance might be okay but they only provide the amount of information that would be appropriate for a 10 inch screen. MSNBC.com might be useful except it isn't working at the moment.
So my Start screen has tiles (I guess you could call them large icons) for all the programs I use in the desktop mode, Word, Firefox, xplorer2, Adobe Reader and others yet to install. That makes it a colorful and very large Start Menu.

- I worked my up from a virtual machine, to a slow 32-bit celeron and now two monitors on my XPS8100. Works great!
