how to prefix a zero in WORKS spreadsheet

Hi Guys

I have all my tel numbers in a Works spreadsheet, but notice zeros are missing at start of number, can they be added all at once any way?

Step 1: Enter the formula =Concatenate ("000", A1) in a blank cell and press Enter key. In this case, we enter the formula in Cell C1.
Step 2: Click the Cell C1, and drag the fill handle

across the range that you want to fill. Then you will view numbers in A1:B6 are pated to C16, and each number contains three leading zeros.

did not work for me, message said its not a Works formulas, are the " supposed to be there?

Download Libre Office from libreoffice.org and use that. Works is no longer supported by Microsoft.

thanks for reply, but I dont want OO, I have just UNinstalled it, and I dont want support from MS for Works, its all working great apart from the zero being omitted, there is a way, will find it soon.

1. Select the field where you want to preserve leading zeros.
2. On the Format menu, click Field.
3. Under Format, click Number.
4. In the Appearance box, click 01235.
5. In the Number of digits box, type the maximum number of leading zeros you want to preserve, and then click OK.

Libre Office is not Open Office. The problem with works, is that it is limited in what it will do.

Libre Office is cross-platform capable.
