I am a Windows 8.1 desktop/mouse user. The metro apps (may not be using right term for that) seem useful to me, but I do not like them taking up my full monitor screen to display. For example, I would like to be able to have the Calendar app display in a reduced size window on my desktop, or the Map app. I looked around for a solution, but did not find one. Presumably this is not possible? Alternatives?
