Hi there

Why do loads of GREAT apps that had 100,000's of users quite satisfied totally mess things up by "re-inventing themselves".

Tunein radio (Windows version) was a GREAT app for Free Internet radio listening -- Now it's TOTALLY RUINED in its new re-incarnation on Windows -- for starters you have to get it from that WRETCHED Store thing -- so Windows 7 users you're stuck - and then it wants a Microsoft ID which I've been studiously trying to avoid.

I've found that the old Softsqueeze / SQUEEZEPLAY app is just as good or better as it can play YOUR music too (Still have some old Logitech Squeezebox hardware around) and works using the same functionality as TUNEIN. You can run SQUEEZEPLAY without having any logitech hardware if you want -- install the logitech media server (free) and start up squeezeplay - and get your favourite Radio stations again without the hassle of creating a Ms ID and loosing all your favourites. The server also streams music to any remote device too. - Works under WINE as well so you've got a BETTER app than TUNEIN that works on Linux too. - I'm running under WINE - you can see the little WINEGLASS at the top left of the screens. It installed straight from the .EXE file and worked straight Out of the box.

Cheers
jimbo
