Gadgets

Is it ok and safe to run the old style win 7 gadgets under win 8 ??? There is a popular 8 pack that I have downloaded and used b-4 but I am not sure if I should install on a new win 8 computer that I just got..... What do you advise???

I've been running 8 Gadget pack since day one. Works fine for me and is safe. The one in the link is the one you want.

I've been using the 8GadgetPack from 8GadgetPack - Gadgets for Windows 8 / 8.1 on Windows 8.1 for quite some time with absolutely no problem.

I have this annoying issue with 8gadgegts. The gadgets disappear when I use wind+d or the show taskbar button. It shouldn't work this way. I want to view the taskbar because of the gadgets to begin with... Can I change this behavior?

I emailed the guy that writes the software but he says that he can't do nothing about that, on an older version Win+D would leave the gadgets on screen, sometimes Win+M will just minimise all windows and leave gadgets on screen but for some reason it doesn't always work
