Solved Unicode input on Windows 8.1

Hi, is the second method described here : Three ways to enter Unicode characters in Windows | The Endeavour (this is what is described in wikipedia too) still supposed to work for Windows 8 ? I created the new EnableHexNumpad registry key, and gave it the value 1, then rebooted. But I tried with several programs and it does not seem to work. Do you have to give a specific name to the value ? Since no name was specified in the method above, I left the "(default)" one. The type is REG_SZ. I miss the simple way that the linux systems have to enter a unicode character, press ctrl+shift+u and then type the hexadecimal value.

The article mentioned did not provide the correct registry key.

The correct key is :
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Input Method".

Create a value of type REG_SZ with the name "EnableHexNumpad". Set the value to 1.

You need to log off or reboot for this to take effect.
