Photos App....Unwanted folders

Good morning,

I have just started using Win 8.1, and, on opening the Photos app I notice that there are "non" photo folders included.

I discovered that it looks like any folder containing photos or pictures gets added to the app.

Does anyone know of a way to restrict folder additions to those contained in a specific folder on the hard drive,[e.g. " Pictures"]

Good morning Andrew, welcome to Windows EightForums!
Any folder that resides in your 'Pictures' folder/library, (C:\Users\your name\Pictures), will show up in the 'Photos' app.
Folders that you do not want to show in the 'Photos' app you could move to a different location.
