Hello Community,
Some few days ago there came a problem with my Laptop; and the problem was it starts consuming lot of battery when goes to idle mode. After Searching on internet i came to know that there is virus in My Laptop and there are only some programs which can remove it. Not even Avira, Microsoft Defender and any other. So i Just installed UnHackME software are cleaned my Windows 8.1. It worked Perfect and my problem seems to be resolved.
But after removing that virus. New problem came in my Windows 8.1 and the Problem is :-

When i Open Built-in Apps in my windows 8.1 Like App store, Skype, Mail, Finance, New, Health & Fitness, Weather, Calender, People, Food & Drink, Music, Games, Maps, Videos, News etc they just disappear after a single flash screen.
The only apps which are in working condition are Camera, Sky drive and some apps which are created by installing some programs in my Windows 8.1.
What happens when i Open my apps :-
The app Screen Comes and after some 2-3 seconds it disappears...
What I've done so far :-
I tried to visit many communities and blogs but didn't find my problem resolved.
I tried to run command sfc /scannow gave me following results after full scan
Windows Resource Protection Found Corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenerios.
(Problem Not resolved)
I tried to run different commands in different blogs even to re-install App Store so that i can even uninstall all apps and re-install them all but .. (Problem Not Resolve)

Please, help me in this regard.. Because i have huge collection of software installed in my Windows and being student i cannot afford to get the pain of re-installing the windows 8.1. And after some days I have exams and I've to study as well.

Try running :

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

in an administrator command prompt.

Then run WSReset.exe in an administrator command prompt.

That's bad. :(

You might have to refresh the system.

Try the second command & restart the computer.

I have slim hopes for it helping but it might.

Keep refresh in mind. :(

Hello Hunny, and welcome to Eight Forums.

For now, you might see if going through the listed troubleshooting steps in the tutorial below may be able to help. :)

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/21051-apps-tiles-not-working-responding-fix-windows-8-a.html

I mentioned clearly in my Thread that My App Store is also not working.. And your given tutorial is all about resolving through App store..
Kindly Thoroughly Read my thread and suggest me possible Solutions.

If you would actually read the tutorial and go to the links in the steps, you would see that most of them do not involve opening the Store. Give them a try. You might be surprised. ;)

    Galaxy S23 Plus phone
Try the following steps, and read each step carefully:-

1) Fixing the app store:

1. Open registry editor typing regedit.exe from a command line.
2. Browse to the registry key at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Appmodel\Repository\Packages"
3. Right click on the “packages” key and bring up the “Permissions” tab.
4. Click the “Advanced” button located at the bottom right corner.
5. Check to see the account name that shows up as the “Owner” (this is the first line of text on the “advanced security settings” dialog for the “packages” key). It should say “SYSTEM”. (For me this showed the built-in local Administrators group)
6. If it is any other account, click on the “Change” button next to it.
7. Type SYSTEM in the “select user” dialog. If “Multiple Names Found” window comes up, select the row for “SYSTEM”.
8. Click OK to the dialogs and close them all.
9. Open admin command prompt(Windows Key +X, click on "Command Prompt (Admin)")
10. Type this command in admin command prompt and press enter (or more conviniently, copy and right-click in CMD and select "Paste"):

Powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

2) Fixing all modern apps:
Open PowerShell as admin (Windows Key + Q, type PowerShell, right-click on Windows PowerShell and select "Run as Administrator")
Type this command in admin PowerShell and press enter (or more conviniently, copy and right-click in PowerShell):

((Get-ChildItem "HKLM:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx\AppxAllUserStore\InboxApplications") | Get-ItemProperty).Path | Add-AppxPackage -Register -DisableDevelopmentMode

3) Fixing 3rd party apps:

Open cmd, and type:

wmic useraccount get name,sid
to find out your user sid

Delete the regkey(type Regedit in "Run" dialog box and navigate to following key and delete it):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx\AppxAllUserStore\[UserSid]

4) Restart computer.

Hope it helps...
If it helps, don't forget to 'Thumbs Up' me... ;)
