Hi,

When I want to install an app from the Windows Store, I get a message with error code: 0x80070032. I have tried everything I could find on the internet to solve this, but nothing works.

Can someone help me?

I have a brandnew HP Pavilion laptop, on which Windows 8 was pre-installed.

Karin, I got the same error when I was trying to download free apps from the store on my Lenovo running W 8.0.
I decided to update with Windows 8.1, hoping that would solve the problem.
After installing 8.1, the Store would revert back to the Start Screen after one second.
I posted the problem here, but I made no progress until I found the thread with the title:

Store - Re-register in Windows 8 and 8.1

After upgrading to Windows 8.1, the Store may not start at all.
1. Open a command prompt.

2. In the command prompt, copy and paste the command below, and press Enter. (see screenshots below)

Code:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML

This allowed me to visit the Windows Store.
It has been working for several days now, so it looks like it was my solution.
You may want to try the fix before installing W 8.1 like I did.
Good luck.

I'm delighted it worked for you, Karin.
It took me days before my problem was resolved.

Sorry, one more question, I am still trying to work W8 out.

Now that the app has been installed, where do I find it? I don't see it in the Start menu.

Try right-clicking on the start page. There should be a button that says, "all apps." Click on it and the apps will be displayed alphabetically. You should be able to scroll across the page until you find it.
After Windows 8.1 is installed, you can wipe the start screen upward and the apps page will appear.

Move the cursor to bottom right/ top right corner, click search, you could find all your programs in Win 8, my attachment is from 8.1.
