Wanting to keep new PC as clean as possible and remove all OEM bloat-ware I have installed Revo Pro. Before using it I am curious as to what uninstall settings are most appropriate for the typical programs.

Is the Quick Uninstall the best to use? or

Is the manual uninstall best and if so should SAFE or MODERATE be selected? I gather the ADVANCED setting could pose greater risk.

Revo Pro appears to be a fairly comprehensive program but could also lead to additional problems if the user is not careful. My computer skills are pretty good but by no means am I an expert but I have never been satisfied with the Windows generic program uninstall.

In addition: Is it a good idea to install new programs utilizing the Revo Install function?
Are there any particular features of Revo Pro that I should avoid using?

Please move thread if this is not the most appropriate location.

Thanks

I have recently cleaned up a sony win8 installation using Your Uninstaller. Don't know if Revo is similar, but Your uninstaller did a great job.

E.G it shows you which reg entries it wants to remove before you ok it.

I use the Advanced setting with no harm.

It's a good idea to install with Revo.
It knows where everything was installed & can cleanup better when uninstalling.

I can't think of any to avoid.

I typically go for the Advanced setting while uninstalling any programs. Revo does a great job. It will leave behind a few folders, but nothing serious.

I also change the option to create a restore point for every uninstall, thats annoying.

Geek uninstaller is also another good one.
