Is there away I can reset the Windows 8.1 Start Menu to factory settings meaning how it came when it was first installed?

What I mean is the default setup . I want the start screen to be exactly the way when I first Installed Windows 8.1, is there away to do that?


That's pretty much default, but for a true out of box default, the only way I know of is to refresh or reset Windows.

Did you look as Brinks link...that's exactly what your looking for. Just click on the blue highlighted text and then follow the instructions....works perfectly.

Yes, minus the default apps that you didn't have pinned when reset.

It automatically unpins all non-default pinned items from your Start screen leaving only any pinned default Store apps. If you unpinned any default Store apps, they will not be added back. If you installed any other Store apps (non-default), then they will be unpinned.

If you like, you could use this below to create a backup of your Start screen after a clean install to have it handy for all default apps.
