So I went to open jet-pack joyride and it opened then closed and it keeps on doing this. It was fine less than 7 hours ago and the same applies to hill climb racing (I was wondering if it was a PC spesifc problem)

Sorry if I didnt post this in the right section

I had the same problem with a few of my Apps. I wasn't trying to find a solution for this problem, because the thing that annoyed me the most was that my PC didn't go to sleep automatically.

Eventually, we found out that the new SkyDrive was the cause of our PCs not sleeping. So, we disabled it and now the PC is working like it did when Windows 8 was installed, minus the SkyDrive option.

When I went back to my apps, to try to find a solution for them, I suddenly noticed my apps were working again. It surprised me, and at first, I thought Microsoft had updated them, until I tried to open them on my other PC where I still had SkyDrive enabled. There they kept on crashing like you described.

So, back to my other PC, I enabled SkyDrive again, to check if my apps would still work, and I noticed them opening, then closing, and restarting again until I closed them myself. Disabling SkyDrive again fixed the problem again. I think that Microsoft is using SkyDrive to store some of the App data online for those that use a Live Account and SkyDrive.

I would suggest trying to disable SkyDrive and check if this solves your app troubles as well.

How to disable SkyDrive can be found here: http://www.eightforums.com/general-support/28226-windows-8-1-refuses-sleep-33.html#post308431

You can do all things mentioned here, or just disable SkyDrive by putting 'Prevent the usage of SkyDrive for file storage' to Enabled.

You can do the other things as well, but I have found out that it isn't needed. When you enable this single option in the Group Policy, it disables SkyDrive completely and the other things are dismissed by Windows.

This will make it easier to re-enable SkyDrive again when Microsoft fixes it.
