I have some old Microsoft produced CDs/DVDs of Windows XP, Windows 95 and Windows 98 as follows:

1 ea Windows 98 SE full version with key
2 ea Windows 98 Upgrade with key

1 ea Windows 95 Upgrade NO key
2 ea Windows 95 full version with USB support NO key

1 ea Windows XP with SP2 full version NO key

I'm cleaning out a lot of old software and thought these might be of interest to someone who keeps this old stuff. Does anyone know where I could send them . . . maybe to some organization that might need them for underprivileged kids or something?

Edit: Oh, and the reason there are no keys is that I've just lost them. :eek:

that's a sweet thought of you! Trying to find a good home for your old installation disks. I myself still have a 98SE and XP installation disk lying around here. So I can't help you out.

I will help you find a place to send it when it comes to under privileged children if you can some how get the keys for them since they are useless to a organization without them.

Thanks . . . I've looked and looked, but can't find the keys.

For the moment, all I have with keys are the three Windows 98 DVDs. I should have a key for Windows XP, but so far haven't located it.

I do have some older software, such as Paint Shop Pro 3, Expression Web 2, Streets and Trips, etc. that won't run on Windows 8 and that I have already gotten the latest version, so don't need the older ones.

Let me know what you think . . .

You should make sure that whoever you give these disks to do not use these computers on the internet. As old operating systems they will be very vulnerable to viruses and malware.

Agreed. And I'm pretty sure any organization that receives them will understand that. There's enough free software in the wild to make this happen.

I recall that before I moved away from Houston, Texas, that as a member of HAL-PC, when we repaired an old donated computer and installed an old OS, we made sure to also take Internet security measures such as installing the free AV programs and such. I believe that back then, there was even a free version of Zone Alarm. I don't know if that holds true today.

IOW, we made sure that the computer we donated to someone less fortunate was as safe as we could make it.
