Hi,

In Windows 8, all newly installed apps and desktop programs automatically received a tile on the modern Start screen. That isn't the case in Windows 8.1: Now, you have to dive into the All Apps screen and manually pin new software to the Start screen.

Is there any way to make windows 8.1 (store) automatically pin newly installed apps to start screen? its annoying to search for the app in "All Apps" then pin it manually. why Microsoft made it manually does it even necessary.

If you right click on the app, you can select "pin to start". I think this is what you are after (I hope).

oops - just spotted that you had done this already

As far as I know you can't do it, blame the whiners before 8.1 update.
