So since upgrading to 8.1, I've been getting messages out the ass about compatibility. One of them is this:

IsucLZD.jpg

Naturally I know some stuff is gonna have to run in that mode until 8.1's been out for a while, but can I disable this from popping up somehow?

Thanks in advance.

Ugh, unfortunately I have to report back. I didn't realize I had regular old 8.1, not Pro or Enterprise, so no LGPE. Any chance there might be another way of disabling it so I don't have to install another version?

Sure, you could use OPTION ONE with the .reg files in the tutorial instead to do so. :)

I tried that, but maybe it didn't work cuz I didn't run as administrator. I'm the only user so I thought I had admin status automatically, but maybe not. I'll try it and report back :)

Was that, nope that you are not signed in to Windows 8 with an administrator account?

If nope it didn't work, then did you restart the computer after using step 2 in Option One?

That is a TuneUp Utilities Application.. I believe you have 2013 version of it. The reason why it keeps popping-up because that app is not fully compatible with Windows 8.1. You need to update to TuneUp Utilities 2014 for that or you can just turn-off the automatic maintenance of that app at the Settings. Hope it helps.

I updated mine to 2014.
