I looked up reviews on the download manager and it seems to install a toolbar (malicious), changes your home page on your browser and comes with viruses and malware. Based on the reviews, I would not install that download manager. I personally wouldn't recommend downloading any kind of download manager.

There are many minor software sites which, when you select the download option, will, without warning, first redirect to that darned program and begin to download. If you allow it to continue, it will load the toolbar, without option. Now I am aware of it, as soon as I encounter the problem, I find another download site for the same program. Not sure, but I think it is now standard practice on any Softpedia downloads.
