Hello,
I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure what information I should provide; I'll try to describe the issue best I can first.

I'm running windows 8 x64 and when I open 'Programs and Features' to uninstall a program, the 'Uninstall' button that is usually next to the 'Organize' button is missing. Also when I try to right click on most programs and left click the 'Uninstall' option, I get the message "An error occurred while trying to uninstall X. It may have already been uninstalled. Would you like to remove X from the Programs and Features list?" However, those programs have not been uninstalled. How do I fix this issue?

Thanks

"Revo Uninstaler Free" is much better for uninstalling programs and getting rid of "tails" left after. Windows uninstaller can not do that if particular program does not have "install.inf" file or it's own uninstaller program. It usually happen with poorly written programs.
You can find it here. been using it for years :
Download Revo Uninstaller - MajorGeeks

A 3rd-party 'cleaning' utility may have inadvertently corrupted/removed the uninstall path. The easiest way to fix this issue is to run the installer again (to restore the uninstaller) and then remove it.
