Purchased two Hp laptops Windows 8 OS (different models) and both are giving me fits trying to d/l and install these Cyberlink included programs. One displays and d/l separate features, the other tries to d/L a huge GB Cyberlink file with numberous features all bundled together. After 4 attempts I give up on both. Any ideas?
Thanks, Ross
Did you give up because the download never completed or did you give up because you didn't understand the contents of the download? If the latter, you will have to go to the provider's website for a detailed explanation to that end; however, if it is a problem with the download not completing, you can post the links and I'll test it from my end.
Update: I reread your post and I now see that your downloads were being invoked by some included bloatware so my suggestion is not applicable to your situation; therefore, I apologize for that misread.
Good luck.
Thanks for reply, on both hp's there is a "HP SupportAssistant" selecting it starts an automatic D/L and Install program. After my cry for help, I examined theLocal (Cdrive/Program Files(x86)/CyberLink and found the following files had in fact down loaded but not installed : LabelPrint, Media Suite, Photo Director, Power to Go 8, Power Director 10 , PowerDVD 10, Shared Files, and You Cam. Each parent file was loaded with files . The grand total of files was over 2.59 GB. None had an executable file that I could find. Any suggestions?
HP Tech support fixed it by directing me to a different download site and 3.5 hours later the old d/l files were deleted and new ones installed.
They work
