I was about to attach an APP I regularly use to a Hotkey on my Keyboard when suddenly I realized don't even know where to find the Executable to do so.

Where can one find these Executable and do they even look like a x86 type EXE?

Is it one of the built-in Windows Store apps?

If so then have a search through the Tutorials section as there are a bunch of tutorials showing how to create a Shortcut to them (which can include a shortcut key) - for instance this one is for the News app:
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/16295-news-store-app-shortcut-create-windows-8-a.html

If it's not a built-in app then I guess the same pattern might work (?), but you'd need to find out the correct name to refer to it.
Edit: Actually I'm not sure about that now - I saw somewhere that this method only works for built-in apps.

For third party applications you will most likely find the .exe's stored under C:\Program Files

From there you can manually find the executable file or use the following search command to find it

Place this in the search bar:

Code:
*.exe

For system applications like Task manager, Calculator and Microsoft Paint , those are normally found in System32 and can be in various locations.

Hope This Helps,
Josh! :)
